Responsibilities

Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00 / hour

What you'll be doing...

Your role is a dynamic mix of physical oversight, technical systems management, and frontline crisis leadership. You will ensure 100% operational readiness across our facilities while keeping the academy compliant with all local, state, and federal standards.
Daily Operations & Team Leadership
  • Directing the Frontline: Lead, mentor, and schedule our internal custodial team to maintain world-class campus cleanliness and immediate functionality.
  • Tactical Patrols: Execute daily physical walkthroughs across the multi-acre footprint to identify and mitigate physical hazards, architectural maintenance needs, or security vulnerabilities before they affect our community.
  • Tech Management: Monitor, assign, and optimize incoming facilities requests using our digital Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Access Control Infrastructure: Program, audit, and troubleshoot digital and physical security networks (RFID gate access, key fobs, automated door schedules, parking tracking, and alarm systems).
  • Emergency Command: Stand ready as the primary first responder and Incident Commander for immediate campus emergencies, medical incidents, or security threats.
Compliance, Vendor Management & Logistics
  • Vendor Accountability: Act as the primary point of contact for external trade partners (HVAC, landscaping, active security, pest control). Drive the bidding process and audit their performance against strict contracts.
  • Regulatory Defense: Partner with leadership to continuously upgrade our Comprehensive School Safety Plan (CSSP), IIPP, and Workplace Violence Prevention Plans.
  • Inspection Readiness: Lead campus prep for intensive state and annual audits, including FIT (Facilities Inspection Tool), Williams Inspections, ADA compliance, and Fire Marshal reviews.

You'll need to have:
  • Proven Experience: 3+ years of progressive facilities management, corporate campus operations, or public safety leadership managing a large, high-traffic property footprint.
  • Leadership Background: Demonstrated experience directly supervising a team and running vendor/contractor performance checks.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to actively patrol a 20.25-acre campus on foot or golf cart daily, lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for up to 2 hours, navigate stairs, and run/chase for short bursts (up to 1 minute) in critical emergencies.
  • Operational Agility: Absolute commitment to punctuality and a dependable schedule, with the necessary flexibility to work occasional overtime, evenings, and weekend events.
