This role is central to supporting dredging operations through data-driven analysis, real-time monitoring, and operational decision-making from shore. The ROSC Engineer will play a key role in optimizing production efficiency, diagnosing performance issues, and coordinating with field teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

An initial training period of approximately six (6) months will involve up to 50% travel for hands-on field familiarization and system integration before transitioning to approximately 5% annual travel for periodic field visits, training, or site investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Monitoring & Support:

  • Provide immediate analytical support to vessel and project teams, particularly during critical operational events or production challenges.
  • Collaborate with site engineers and crews to validate data interpretations and operational insights.

Performance Analysis:
  • Analyze production, downtime, and equipment performance data to identify efficiency improvements and support long-term optimization initiatives.
  • Assist to develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance reports for leadership and field teams.

Decision Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and field engineers to provide data-driven recommendations for operational adjustments.
  • Support root cause analysis for performance deviations or mechanical issues, integrating field feedback with sensor data.

Report, Drawing, and QC Management:
  • Create detailed reports and operational summaries for leadership review.
  • Produce and update engineering drawings and visual aids used in analysis and communication.
  • Conduct quality control (QC) checks on data, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Communication & Coordination:
  • Serve as a key link between ROSC and field operations, ensuring clear, consistent communication of recommendations and findings.
  • Participate in daily coordination calls and operational briefings with dredging teams.

Training & Development:
  • Support crew and engineer training initiatives to enhance understanding of ROSC monitoring tools, data interpretation, and performance optimization.
  • Assist in developing ROSC workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or related discipline); Master's degree beneficial
  • 3-10 years of relevant engineering or operations experience in dredging, marine construction, or heavy civil operations
  • Previous operations center experience highly beneficial
