The Connectivity Implementation Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering telecommunications connectivity projects across the QTS network. This role leads implementation schedule management, vendor coordination, deployment testing, reporting, and stakeholder communication to ensure connectivity solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with operational, engineering, security, and business standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end implementation of connectivity projects, including scheduling, coordination, deployment, testing, and final acceptance.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, implementation timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, subcontractors, carriers, and business stakeholders to support successful delivery and integration.
- Manage installation schedules, activation readiness, testing activities, and acceptance criteria to confirm project completion and service readiness.
- Track project progress, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables; escalate concerns and drive resolution as needed.
- Ensure implementation activities comply with QTS security, operational, engineering, documentation, and business standards.
- Maintain accurate project data across reporting tools, dashboards, trackers, and systems of record.
- Prepare clear status updates, forecasts, and performance reporting for leadership and stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3-8+ years of experience in telecommunications, network deployment, infrastructure implementation, project management, or a related technical environment.
- Working knowledge of telecommunications network architectures, fiber deployments, carrier services, connectivity solutions, and network activation workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, vendors, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills, including schedule development, milestone tracking, risk management, forecasting, and issue resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear business updates for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering, operations, construction, vendor, and leadership teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working with large carriers, fiber providers, data center environments, or infrastructure service providers.
- Familiarity with network service delivery, circuit ordering, activation, and closeout processes.
- Project management certification or formal project management training preferred.
