Operations Analyst

The Executive Planning & Operations team solves critical strategy, planning, and execution challenges across Fastly. We are looking for a curious and proactive Operations Analyst to partner with leadership in Engineering, Product Management, Analytics, Finance, Program Management, Product & Engineering Operations, and others to develop and manage engineering, financial, and technical processes, execute key operational cadences, and drive successful business outcomes.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and mature multiple key cross-organizational processes including Product Lifecycle, Engineering Ops, software capitalization, and others
  • Operationalize and mature emerging processes around FinOps and cloud spend management
  • Instill discipline and consistency within the Product and Engineering teams in terms of operational methodologies and documentation, working with Senior Director & VP level resources
  • Work closely with cross-functional resources as primary point of contact to improve communications, enhance visibility, and measure results of different strategic portfolios
  • Champion tooling and process improvements that help the team and Fastly scale

What We're Looking For:
  • 4+ years in business operations or other key functions including business process improvement, and product or engineering teams (bonus points for both)
  • Strong attention to detail within big picture context
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team initiatives by influence
  • Experience effectively communicating across multiple levels including distributed teams
  • Focus on results and outcome, not just process for process sake
  • Strong action bias, preference for execution and incremental improvements
  • Ability to document and train a variety of stakeholders on new and revised processes
  • A history of putting structure around ambiguity

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
  • Experience working with engineering in a Tech organization
  • Experience leveraging AI to automate and scale
  • Experience presenting to executives and leadership
  • Ability to independently plan and execute on multiple strategic initiatives or projects
  • Functional knowledge of financial, sales, or other core business metrics; experience with program management methodologies

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $102,780.00 - $137,040.00.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
