Operations Advisor - Packaging

Operations Advisor - Packaging

The Operations Advisor will be responsible for building and continuously improving team effectiveness and achievement of business results within a self-directed work group. This position will provide technical guidance as they support day-to-day operations including proactive and predictive activities. They will assist in removing roadblocks to facilitate connections and collaboration across functions while motivating the team to define outcomes to deliver on its mission of adding value to our customer growers.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate a culture for engaged team members; working in a safe, reliable and efficient environment utilizing OnePSS pillars and practices to foster lean manufacturing;
  • Mentor others regarding safety, manufacturing standards, work processes, and lean manufacturing practices;
  • Provides day-to-day operational support as well as technical and process troubleshooting support;
  • Practices, promotes, and coaches a culture of peer-to-peer feedback;
  • Knowledge management through training, skills development, empowerment and accountability;
  • Facilitate localized Gemba walks and supports team accountability for adherence to all policies related to the area, the site;
  • Works with peer group to allocate resources across multiple units;
  • Supports/leads collaboration efforts across E2E support functions (Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics, Safety & Quality) to put the customer at the center of our work;
  • Collaborates with the Area to define unit goals, strategic direction, and priorities. Routine evaluation of work practices (meetings, task, process) to determine effectiveness;
  • Delegation of Authority (DOA) for the Unit Leads as needed;
  • Helps to unlock team potential by eliminating non-value-added activities and supporting 90-day work cycles Provides support with hiring, timecard review, and shift staffing as needed;
  • Review and approve site safety permits and PMF documentation.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/ GED and 7 years of manufacturing experience OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years of manufacturing experience Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive focused improvement and sustainable change;
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook;)
  • Strong skills in oral/written communication, time and task management, priority setting, decision making, resource allocation, and informal leadership including coaching, influencing, conflict resolution.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the maintenance disciplines;
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $83,280.00 - $124,920.00. Compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
