Operations Accounting Manager for Plastipak Packaging in Plymouth, MI. Requires Master’s degree in Financial Analysis + 1 year of financial analysis experience to include analysis of product pricing related to the manufacturing of plastic rigid containers. Send resume + cover to Susan Elsheick:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure corporate policy/procedure followed at manufacturing sites
  • Supervise site accounting leadership at North American Sites
  • Oversee/analyze annual manufacturing site plans
  • Track costs and provide data for all performance variables including: labor, expenses, projects, fixed costs, unit costs, etc.
  • Facilitate accounting conference calls and Plastipak North America finance and controlling meetings
  • Develop and implement training programs for site controlling group
  • Participate in site and regional management meetings
  • Report findings of weakness in internal controls and non-compliance to corporate procedures to Controller - North America
  • Act as controlling communication focal point between sites and corporate
  • Prepare Ad hoc reports and projects as required by Controller – North America
  • Responsible for working on continuous improvement in all procedures and systems to eliminate waste and non-value added work
  • Develop and implement training programs for site controlling group
  • Travel for education and training to corporate locations worldwide up to 25%
