About the Role

Step into the center of a fast-paced, mission-critical IT Operations environment. As an IT Operations Support Technician on our 24x7 Operations team, you'll be the frontline responder for enterprise infrastructure events-protecting uptime, performance, and stability for our customers around the clock. You'll blend hands-on troubleshooting with sharp operational awareness, using tools, dashboards, and ticketing systems to keep services running and risks contained.
What You'll Do
Stay Ahead of the Environment
  • Maintain real-time awareness of system health, recent changes, risks, and priority services.
  • Translate technical events into mission impact, identifying issues early and preventing escalation.
Deliver Insight, Not Just Data
  • Use monitoring tools, logs, and ITSM platforms to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential outages before they occur.
  • Spot anomalies across systems and recognize early indicators of larger problems.
Own the Incident Lifecycle
  • Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services across a hybrid enterprise.
  • Validate alerts, separate symptoms from root causes, and quickly assess scope and impact.
  • Perform first-line triage and escalate effectively with clear, actionable summaries.
  • Manage incidents from creation through resolution, coordinating closely with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams.
  • Ensure seamless shift handoffs with detailed, accurate documentation.
Communicate with Confidence
  • Provide calm, clear, fact-based updates during incidents and change events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, engineering partners, and mission stakeholders.
  • Execute established SOPs, including outage coordination and planned change steps.

What You Bring
Experience
  • 3+ years in IT operations, network operations center support, systems administration, or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with networks, storage, and virtualization concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, BMC, etc.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or equivalent.
Operational Skills
  • Understanding of ITIL incident, event, and change management.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 or shift-based environment (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Strong documentation habits and commitment to clean ticket hygiene and shift turnover.
Soft Skills & Credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication-especially under pressure.
  • Team-oriented mindset, coachable attitude, and professional integrity.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.

This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
