As an
Operational Technology Lead, you will build and operate the infrastructure that keeps ASI's physical and industrial systems running around the clock. You own the SCADA infrastructure, the Operational Control Center (OCC), building management systems, and the OT/IT security boundary separating ASI's industrial network from the corporate environment. You are the founding pod lead for the OT function, reporting to the VP of Information Systems. You recruit and develop your team, command P0 OT incidents, and partner with Security, Facilities, Manufacturing, and product teams to maintain 24/7 operational readiness.
Responsibilities- Own the OT infrastructure roadmap: network architecture, air-gap controls, and physical security systems.
- Define and enforce OT runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and firmware lifecycle management.
- Build and operate the OCC, including tooling, dashboards, alerting, and escalation procedures.
- Maintain 24/7 OCC coverage across IT, OT, physical, and environmental systems.
- Command all P0 OT incidents and lead post-incident reviews.
- Build Level 1 automated alerting and auto-remediation to eliminate routine noise.
- Own OT/IT boundary security policy in partnership with the Security pod.
- Hold the pod to SLAs on alert response, uptime, and runbook coverage.
- Recruit, develop, and lead the SCADA Systems Engineer and OCC Analysts.
- Partner with C4, V&V, and Mechatronics on shared data pipelines and network boundaries.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years in operational technology, ICS, SCADA, or a combined OT/IT role.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating SCADA systems and industrial control infrastructure.
- Demonstrated expertise in OT network architecture, air-gap controls, and OT/IT boundary management.
- Experience standing up or maturing an OCC: tooling, alerting, runbooks, and SLAs.
- Proven incident command experience in industrial or OT environments, including P0 events.
- Familiarity with OT patch management constraints and vendor firmware lifecycle.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and leading technical teams.
- GICSP, CSSA, or equivalent OT/ICS security credential, or willingness to pursue certification.
Physical Requirements- Ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment continuously.
- Ability to communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and through electronic means.
