Full Job Description
Bloomberg is seeking an Operational Resilience Engagement Specialist to help execute the firm's resilience-related global stakeholder engagement strategy. A key member of the Global Operational Resilience team, the person in this role will partner with colleagues to ensure optimal operation of incident management communications procedures, track program outcomes and performance metrics, implement productivity and collaboration tools, and ensure adoption of best-in-class practices for continuous program improvement. They will also work across stakeholder groups to help maintain consistent and informative messaging for internal and external audiences about how Bloomberg prepares for and manages service disruptions. The ideal candidate for this role brings crisis, incident or issues management communications expertise, superior project management skills, a habit of critical thinking, and a track record of balancing independent working with team collaboration. Experience using AI to automate research, project organization and routine tasks is a huge plus! We'll trust you to: • Orchestrate resilience and reliability communications and updates in alignment with global strategy. • Facilitate efficient operation of the business impact conference call during live incidents, providing information and structure necessary to support stakeholder decisions. • Develop and maintain internal and external Operational Resilience resource centers and training content on regulatory landscape, best practices, procedures and protocols, and relevant market intelligence. • Keep essential incident documentation up to date and readily accessible by stakeholders, including templates, trackers, and pre-approved messaging and communication playbooks for various incident types (e.g., engineering, cybersecurity, or physical security incidents). • Maintain accurate records of incident communication activities, including timelines, messages, approvals, and stakeholder feedback, ensuring global awareness and consistency in follow-the-sun scenarios. • Track, measure and report on incident response effectiveness, customer feedback and public perception, in partnership with incident management, legal, risk, corporate communications, and client-facing teams. • Participate in after-action reviews to evaluate communication effectiveness and identify opportunities to refine playbooks and processes. • Work across teams handling client, regulatory, media and internal communications to maintain consistent resilience-related messaging. • Partner with corporate communications and marketing colleagues to protect corporate reputation, ensuring Bloomberg's reliability and commitment to resilience are accurately reflected in broader company narratives and channels. • Work effectively under pressing deadlines and demonstrate calm efficiency during high stakes situations to stakeholders and other team members. You'll need to have: • 7+ years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, program management or consulting, preferably with direct crisis and/or incident response involvement. • Successful track record in project management requiring participation from colleagues across departments and at all levels. • Strong collaboration practices and ability to exercise influence in absence of authority in order to maintain progress. • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal presentation skills. • Strong ability to translate complex technological concepts into clear, audience-appropriate narratives. • Accountability to act with autonomy while contributing to a cohesive global team. We'd love to see: • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and the compliance considerations of financial services firms. • Experience working on industry-level thought leadership initiatives, public affairs or influence-based perception management programs. • Experience in cybersecurity and data privacy matters. • Proven use of AI to enhance productivity and project management capabilities. Salary Range = 130,000 - 180,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
