Our opportunity

We are looking for our new Operational Excellence Senior Specialist (JL03), who will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the Area through the implementation of The Maersk Way (TMW) standards and methodologies, as well as the Operating System. The role will facilitate problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives while developing organizational capabilities.

This position creates value by transforming performance opportunities into sustainable improvements, operating across functions and complementing existing capabilities within the organization.

Main responsibilities:

  • Implement The Maersk Way (TMW) tools, standards, and methodologies, and support Operating System rollouts across the Area.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, including A3 and Kaizen events, to address performance gaps and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze processes and performance indicators, identify root causes, and support the definition of countermeasures and expected outcomes.
  • Monitor action plans, benefits realization, and KPI performance, ensuring consistent implementation and sustainable results.
  • Develop operational excellence capabilities through coaching, facilitation, and knowledge transfer to teams.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean methodologies, or structured problem-solving.
  • Experience in the logistics and/or shipping industry.
  • Experience facilitating workshops or leading improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies (Lean, A3, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Performance management experience, including KPI analysis and root cause identification.
  • Process mapping and process analysis experience.
  • Advanced English, fluent Portuguese, and basic Spanish.
