Full Job Description
Xponent Engineering builds and operates cloud-native JO and Analytics solutions for enterprise customers. As an Operations Engineer II on JO Platform DevOps, you help keep our globally distributed SaaS reliable and improve how we run it in AWS-partnering with software engineering, JO Platform TechOps, and customer-facing teams. This is a small, high-velocity team where you can have an outsized impact: you ship automation, document what you build, and grow toward senior platform work.

We are looking for an Operational Engineer II who will:
  • Platform operations & support - Support production and non-production JO and Analytics environments across regions; troubleshoot incidents with peers and TechOps; contribute to root-cause analysis and follow-up improvements.
  • Automation & tooling - Build and maintain Bash and Python scripts and small tools for deployments, diagnostics, data/ops workflows, and reducing manual toil.
  • CI/CD & infrastructure - Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines, Terraform-managed AWS resources, and Kubernetes (EKS) workloads; follow Git-based change practices and team standards
  • Observability - Help operate monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch); tune dashboards and runbooks so issues are visible early.
  • Cross-team delivery - Coordinate with Development, Professional Services, and Support on releases, environment needs, and customer-impacting work; communicate clearly in a distributed team.
  • Documentation & enablement - Write runbooks, READMEs, and handoffs for systems you touch; make it easy for the next engineer to operate what you built.
  • Continuous improvement - Question how things work, propose safer/faster patterns, and adopt modern DevOps, cloud, and data pipeline (ETL/streaming) practices where they fit our stack.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
  • 2-4+ years in DevOps, cloud operations, SRE, or platform engineering (or equivalent depth via production work).
  • Hands-on delivery of a SaaS or PaaS product in the cloud (multi-environment, customer-facing impact).
  • Comfort in a customer-aware role: urgency, clear communication, and ownership when production matters.
  • Track record of coordinating across internal teams and finishing work without constant direction.
  • Continuous improvement mindset-you leave systems, docs, and processes better than you found them.
  • Effective on a small, remote team: proactive, collaborative, professional English (written and spoken).

Technical requirements
  • Scripting: Demonstrable Bash and Python for real operational or automation tasks.
  • Cloud: Production AWS experience (VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, RDS or similar core services).
  • Infrastructure as code: Practical Terraform (modules, Git workflows); Ansible a plus.
  • CI/CD: Experience building or maintaining pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions preferred).
  • Containers: Docker required; Kubernetes (EKS or similar) exposure strongly preferred.
  • Operations: On-call or production support experience; structured troubleshooting in distributed systems.
  • Documentation: Evidence you document what you build and how to run it.

Education
  • Bachelor's in CS, engineering, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Preferred qualifications
  • GitOps (Argo CD / Flux), Helm, Kustomize
  • Observability: AlertManager, log aggregation, SLI/SLO thinking
  • Data platforms: ETL, streaming, or batch pipelines supporting Analytics workloads
  • Security & compliance awareness (secrets management, least privilege, audit-friendly changes)
  • Telecom, enterprise SaaS, or journey/analytics platform background

CSGer Perks & Benefits
  • Work from Home
  • Employee Belonging Groups
  • Healthcare: Dental, Medical, and Vision
  • Paid Vacation, Volunteer, and Holiday Time Off
  • And so much more!
