The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
General Purpose: Provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and accountability for Operating Room nursing education, competency management, workforce development, onboarding, and professional practice initiatives. Responsible for developing and executing educational strategies that support organizational goals, regulatory compliance, patient safety, quality outcomes, and workforce readiness. Leads educational personnel, manages departmental educational resources, and serves as a key advisor to nursing leadership regarding professional development, competency validation, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Accountable for the effectiveness, sustainability, and outcomes of orientation, continuing education, competency management, and professional development programs.

Leads educational personnel, manages departmental educational resources, and serves as a key advisor to nursing leadership regarding professional development, competency validation, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of orientation, onboarding, preceptor, residency, competency, and continuing education programs. Identifies workforce capability gaps and develops educational solutions to support succession planning and long-term workforce development. Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for orienting staff and educational support personnel. Participates in recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, corrective action, and professional development activities in conjunction with nursing leadership. Establishes performance expectations and monitors achievement of departmental goals and objectives. Serves as a mentor and leadership resource for nurses, surgical technologists, LPNs, residents, students, and interdisciplinary team members. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN),Master's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Leadership preferred required within 5 years. CNOR- within 6 months, Five (5) years of progressive nursing experience in an acute care setting, Three (3) years of leadership, education, management, or professional development experience RN Licensed in New York State
