In this position...
  • This role provides accounting oversight for Ford Credit's Operating Lease and Company Car financial products, including supervision of one analyst.
  • The position is responsible for researching and applying appropriate U.S. GAAP guidance, partnering with Ford Accounting Policy and PwC as needed, and managing monthly close activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and footnote disclosures.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing quarterly flux analyses for senior management, operating lease titling trust monthly financial statements, and supporting 10-Q/K footnote automation in Workiva.
  • The role also ensures SOX compliance and internal controls, responds to cross-regional accounting inquiries, and supports strategic initiatives including the Ford Credit's Tech Modernization launch, annual controls review, and annual finance manual review.


Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Provide oversight and review of Ford Credit's Operating Lease and Company Car financial product
  • Provide oversight of one analyst
  • Research and identify the proper U.S. GAAP for Ford Credit initiatives, liaise with Ford Accounting Policy and PwC as required
  • Review monthly close related items, such as input of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Review various Ford Credit footnote disclosures and supporting schedules
  • Prepare high-level quarterly flux analysis supporting year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter views for senior management's use during quarterly financial statement reviews
  • Prepare operating lease titling entity monthly financial statements
  • Support Ford Credit 10-Q/K footnote automation in Workiva
  • Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with S-Ox requirements
  • Respond as necessary to accounting and reporting inquiries from other regions and other functional areas
  • Support Group Reporting launch and Tech Modernization team in their launch of Alfa
  • Support annual MCRP review
  • Support annual FM review


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Curiosity to explore uncharted areas of finance receivables accounting and self-confidence to deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-driven, ability to prioritize and advance multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Technical accounting depth with strong GAAP knowledge, since the role requires original research and defensible positions with PwC and Accounting Policy
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build processes and frameworks where none exist yet, including willingness to explore uncharted areas of finance receivables accounting
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle close, disclosures, flux analysis, information requests, and system launches simultaneously
  • Leadership readiness for managing and developing the offshore analyst
  • Stakeholder management, political savvy, and strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Adaptability; someone resistant to change would struggle
  • Self-direction, prioritizing multiple assignments without heavy oversight

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
