About the RoleSIRIS is actively building a pipeline of Construction Managers to support current and upcoming Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare construction projects across multiple U.S. locations.
This posting is not tied to a single immediate opening. Instead, it is designed to identify qualified candidates for near-term and future project assignments as programs are awarded and mobilized.
Candidates will be considered for opportunities based on experience, location preference, and program needs.
What You'll DoIn this role, you will function in an Owner's Representative and advisory capacity, supporting major federal healthcare construction programs from design through construction and closeout.
You will work closely with Program Managers, VA client representatives, contractors, and design teams to support project oversight, compliance, and successful delivery.
This role focuses on coordination, analysis, and client representation, not contractor self-perform work.
Who Will Succeed in This Role- Experience supporting complex construction projects in healthcare, federal, or institutional environments is highly valued
- Strong background in mechanical systems, HVAC infrastructure, or building systems engineering is preferred
- Comfortable managing cost, schedule, and compliance across multidisciplinary teams
- Able to operate independently while collaborating with program leadership, clients, and contractors
- Strong organizational and analytical mindset
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and compliance
- Demonstrates accountability, leadership, and sound judgment
Qualifications- Required
- 6+ years of experience in construction management, construction administration, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to project assignment)
- Preferred
- Experience supporting VA, DoD, or other federal healthcare construction programs
- Professional certifications such as PE, EIT, CCM, PMP, or RCDD
- Experience working in regulated environments (federal, healthcare, institutional)
- Experience with healthcare or institutional construction projects
Education- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered
- 15+ years of directly related experience may substitute for degree
Work Environment- Future roles will primarily be full-time onsite at active construction sites and project offices
- Work may require travel or relocation depending on project assignment

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 110,000 USD per year (West Haven, CT)
