YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Understanding of motor control logic and MCC (600V), DC motor control (static drive) and AC drives;
- Basic instrumentation troubleshooting (temperature sensor, pressure sensor and tachometer);
- Understanding of PLC logic and providing troubleshooting activities as required;
- Maintain equipment rated for 24 volts to 25KV;
- Use of various tools such as voltmeter, megger and ampere meter;
- Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remedied;
- Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED- Electro-Dynamic / Industrial Technician Certificate;
- Minimum of two years practical work experience within the mining sector;
- High voltage transformer and switchgear experience is preferred;
- Ability to work and be exposed to the elements (Working at heights, outdoor working environment);
- Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
- Good work ethics and a strong attitude towards safety.
Your Work Schedule- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
