Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Open Market Project Manager for the South Region, you will lead parts, repairs, and outage projects for large gas turbine customers while serving as a trusted advisor on operational and maintenance solutions. This role requires a self-motivated project leader with power generation experience who can collaborate with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to successfully plan, schedule, and execute outages. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong project management skills to solve complex plant challenges, ensure safe operations, and support Siemens Energy's mission of improving efficiency and advancing decarbonization across the energy industry.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Build and maintain strong customer and internal partnerships by demonstrating accountability, trust, communication, flexibility, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Lead the full lifecycle execution of multiple outage, parts, and repair projects, ensuring seamless delivery from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, and scope to achieve quality, performance, and business objectives.
  • Own project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that could impact schedule, scope, quality, or budget.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, field personnel, and vendor partners to drive safe, efficient, and successful project execution.
  • Required to travel 25%

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related professional experience. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • 5+ years of combined project management and field service experience within the power generation industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex, high-value projects for multiple customers while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong customer-facing experience with excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of rotating power generation equipment and power plant operations, with the ability to apply technical expertise to solve customer challenges.
  • Willingness to obtain IMPA certification within 18 months of meeting all prerequisites.
