Location: San Diego, CA | Schedule: 9x80 A | Security Clearance: Not Required
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for real-time systems
- Engineer software for cryptographic and software-defined radio functionalities
- Utilize embedded and real-time development tools to deliver robust solutions
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including systems, hardware, and integration/test engineers
- Engage in Agile development cycles to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
- Analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across embedded platforms
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (5+ years), Master's (3+ years), or PhD (1+ year) in Computer Engineering or related STEM field
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
- Proven experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle
- Expertise in real-time, multi-threaded embedded systems
- Solid background in low-level firmware/software integration and debugging
- Familiarity with static analysis, unit testing, Git, Jira, and Bitbucket
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Software Defined Radios and avionics systems
- Knowledge of Xilinx platforms (Zynq, Ultrascale+, Versal), Yocto, Petalinux
- Understanding of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, TCP/IP
- Cryptographic implementation know-how
- Exposure to Rust, Linux kernel, embedded drivers, VHDL/Verilog, FPGA tools (Vivado, Vitis)
- Awareness of security standards, embedded architectures, IBM tools (Rhapsody, DOORS, ClearCase), Green Hills AdaMulti
