Oncology Administrator - Oncology Admin

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field required, Master's preferred.

5-8+ years of experience in healthcare management, with direct experience in oncology or specialty practices.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates the clinical delivery of medical and radiation oncology as well as the Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC).

Is responsible for the financial and budgetary management of a comprehensive oncology center encompassing radiation, medical, and administrative oncology services. Is responsible for the financial and budgetary management of the AIC.

Is responsible for the structure, operations, and management of a clinical drug trials program with the focus on clinical application.

Provides leadership in the area of appropriate drug utilization and cost effective programs to effectively manage both chemotherapy and other medications.

Is responsible for oncology and AIC human resources supervision including performance evaluations, counseling, hiring, retention, and education of staff.

Is responsible for the application of total quality management principles including the ability to write, monitor and implement performance improvement plans.

Is responsible for the compliance with JCAHO for the Oncology Program and AIC as well as ACS/Commission on Cancer standards and the preparation process that accompanies these survey programs.

Provides leadership in cancer care program design, development, implementation, and monitoring. Provides leadership in the AIC design, development, implementation, and monitoring.

Is responsible for marketing and program coordination and promotion for oncology and AIC services.

Is responsible for oncology services product line management as well as integration of AIC services into other product lines.

Provides leadership in regional cancer program development and management.

Is responsible for working with physicians in the areas of program integration, regional program services (Oncology) and clinical drug trials (Oncology) and appropriate utilization.
