Job DescriptionThe Marketplace Specialist – Onboarding sits within digital and is responsible for achieving Nordstrom customer outcomes which are predominately focused on driving product sales. The Onboarding Specialist achieves these outcomes by facilitating a best-in-class seller integration and onboarding experience and supporting the creation of the easiest-to-join, preferred marketplace for brand partners. We are looking for someone with experience working with external clients, a customer-obsessed mindset, and who isn’t afraid to embrace gray areas and ever-changing business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guide base-tier marketplace brands through seller integration and onboarding, supporting setup, launch, ramp-up, and assortment optimization on Nordstrom.com through a blend of hands-on partnership and self-service methods
- Facilitate training for new brands focused on operational requirements for a successful marketplace business using a mix of hands-on and self-service methods
- Lead seller-facing calls, onboarding sessions, and webinars to drive seller education and program readiness
- Manage a portfolio of 50+ onboarding projects, delivering an exceptional seller experience grounded in Nordstrom's values while balancing the marketplace business's strategic priorities
- Monitor base-tier seller KPIs, ensuring ongoing compliance with content and operational standards throughout the onboarding lifecycle
- Collaborate directly with Brand Acquisition, Category Management, and Operations peers to ensure a seamless brand experience during inbound and outbound handoffs
The Marketplace Specialist – Onboarding is responsible for managing projects in alignment with marketplace objectives & key results (OKRs) while providing a seamless brand onboarding experience and providing exemplary support for sellers experiencing ongoing data setup issues. As a rapidly growing team within Digital, and a newer business to Nordstrom, the Onboarding Specialist will be critical to scaling Marketplace onboarding for new brands and supporting our self-serve onboarding for sellers ready to move quickly. The role will be integral in the future of our multimodal onboarding framework and will be a thought partner in how we provide a stellar brand experience in new ways.

- Communicates Effectively: Leads the brand onboarding experience with clear communication of operational expectations, project timelines, and marketplace standards, including constructive pushback on non-best practice decisions. Advocates with internal stakeholders on behalf of brand partners, driving improvements to process and technology to create the easiest-to-join and preferred marketplace for sellers.
- Builds Trust: Acts as a trusted representative of Nordstrom with brand partners, gaining trust and partnering together to launch their marketplace business. Establishes rapport with cross-functional peers internally and collaborates to achieve success for our brand partners.
- Customer Focus: Able to influence brand decisions with an eye toward Nordstrom Customers’ needs for a high-quality digital shopping experience.
- Decision Quality: A self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset and a desire to ideate, test, and iterate processes in collaboration with peers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- 4+ years of professional experience in a large matrixed organization
- 1+ year experience working with brands or external clients a plus (i.e consulting, agency, customer service)
- Comfortable with constant change, building, and iterating processes regularly

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Colorado: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Connecticut: $60,000-$110,500 annually, Delaware: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Hawaii: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Illinois: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Maine: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Maryland: $60,000-$110,500 annually, Massachusetts: $60,000-$110,500 annually, Minnesota: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Nevada: $60,000-$96,000 annually, New Jersey: $60,000-$110,500 annually, New York: $60,000-$120,000 annually, Rhode Island: $60,000-$96,000 annually, Virginia: $60,000-$110,500 annually, Washington: $60,000-$110,500 annually, Washington D.C.: $69,000-$110,500 annually
