The role will be a part of the core WTG installation team for SRW01
The main responsibility of this role will be to manage the load-out operations in New London, CT, including
- Plan feeder vessel load-outs and provide lookahead for port operations
- Ensure that a high focus on HSE at the site, e.g. by participating in regular operational safety assessments / safety walks (planned and executed with support from company HSE Advisors)
- Coordinate the work of the main contractors on site, i.e. SGRE, Crowley and Gateway
- Supervise load-out operations and issue DPRs for the feeder vessel while in port
- Perform final walkdown of feeder vessel after completion of load-out
- Liaise with the company offshore construction team and plan feeder vessel departure from and return to port
- Monitor progress of SGRE WTG component delivery, pre-assembly and readiness for load-out
- Oversee and manage comapny equipment on barge and stock of spare parts in New London
- Facilitate MWS and CVA site attendance as required

Other responsibilities may include (depending on candidate background and experience):
- Engineering support related to load-out, transport, transfer and installation
- Weather forecast assessment and operability reviews
- DPR post-processing and analysis (for both onshore and offshore part)
This role requires
- strong focus on safety;
- some level of technical understanding of lifting operations and marine transportation;
- good communication skills, as this role will to a large extent focus on the management of contractors;
- an understanding of the various stakeholders involved in the construction of offshore wind farms in the US;
- curiosity and motivation to learn to know an industry that is still very much growing and evolving in the US.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, highly self motivated and organized
- GWO offshore access, medically fit for offshore works
- Good working knowledge of lifting and marine operations standards
- Understanding QHSE management principles
- Experience and/or qualification in construction, engineering or marine operations
- Prior experience with installation of wind turbines or marine construction
- Some knowledge or proficiency in BIMCO & FIDIC contracts advantageous but not essential
