Schedule: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Planner to support a major offshore construction project in Houston. This role will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to develop and manage detailed construction schedules, track progress, identify risks, and proactively prevent delays.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Build master schedules covering offshore construction activities, work fronts, resources, dependencies, and constraints.
- Track daily and weekly progress and provide schedule updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify potential bottlenecks, vessel standby risks, delays, and schedule conflicts.
- Develop recovery plans and alternative execution schedules to minimize project delays.
- Coordinate closely with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and offshore personnel.
- Break complex offshore projects into logical vessel work fronts and execution activities.
- Evaluate schedule, cost, and risk impacts of different execution scenarios.
Must-Have Qualifications:- Proven offshore construction planning/scheduling experience.
- Hands-on experience using Primavera P6 for project scheduling and planning.
- Experience supporting offshore projects involving pipelay, infield development, diving, dredging, trenching, or similar construction activities.
- Experience working on active/in-flight offshore projects where real-time progress tracking, corrective actions, and schedule adjustments are critical.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with prime contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and offshore project teams.
- Experience developing and managing master schedules, activity relationships, constraints, resources, and work fronts.
- Proven ability to identify potential delays and develop recovery/mitigation plans before they impact project milestones.
- Experience developing alternative execution scenarios and evaluating schedule, cost, and risk impacts.
- Strong understanding of offshore construction sequencing, vessel activities, logistics, and work-front planning.
- Ability to interpret project drawings, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Must be based in Houston, TX and able to work onsite with the project team.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with MS Project in addition to Primavera P6.
- Experience with large-scale offshore energy or marine construction projects.
- Experience with vessel scheduling and offshore logistics.
