Full Job Description
Responsible for identifying new projects and initiatives designed to improve efficiency and/or achieve cost savings across Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS). Manages multiple complex and broad scale projects from discovery phase through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Working in conjunction with departmental resources, identifies areas of opportunity for improvement. Develops qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations.
  • Collects data to support value-add improvements in clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies and/or improved financial performance. Develops meaningful and impactful analysis based on collected data to support changes in operations.
  • Prepares business proposals and presentation to effectively communicate analysis to appropriate stakeholders, including executive leadership and senior management, and gain support/ buy-in of suggested improvements.
  • Develops detailed project plans to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of process improvements. Identifies appropriate project resources and develops project milestones and timelines. Responsible for managing assigned team (internal ICG staff as well as team members in other departments) to ensure project plan objectives remain on target and are achieved in accordance with the project plan deadlines .
  • Facilitates meetings with senior leadership across departments and/or delivery networks to ensure the effective communication of project objectives.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with senior leadership across the health system.
  • Responsible for educating and mentoring project team members to improve the efficiency of the team's performance. Provides coaching and counseling to more junior staff members to facilitate their professional development.
  • Responsible for developing budgets associated with assigned projects and mentor other ICG consultants with budgeting for their projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide structure to complex issues from multiple sources (i.e. clients, experts, reports, and data) to logically and succinctly present to project teams/leadership across the system.
  • Responsible for successfully working with departments to modify departmental policies and procedures to ensure on-going performance improvements.
  • Upon the successful completion of assigned projects, responsible for developing the appropriate analytical tools to track performance on an on-going basis.
  • Leads cross-system initiatives. Shapes project strategy and approach. Demonstrates leadership ability within OSM team.
  • Performs other related tasks or duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Computer science, Information Management, or Healthcare related field. Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Analytics, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of seven years professional work experience, preferably in healthcare or management consulting.
  • At least three years previous project management or leadership experience required.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and effective presentation required.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
