About the role:The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day workplace operations and facilities management, ensuring a safe, organized, efficient, and well-maintained environment for employees and guests.
This role manages workplace services, vendors, maintenance, office programs, operational budgets, employee support, and logistics across all Bolt Graphics locations. The position serves as a key point of contact for workplace needs and works cross-functionally to anticipate and support the company's current and future operational requirements.
What you'll do:Workplace & Facilities Operations- Oversee daily workplace operations to ensure a clean, organized, safe, and efficient office environment.
- Manage the overall condition and appearance of interior and exterior spaces, including cleaning, landscaping/plants, trash services, parking areas, organization, and general upkeep.
- Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, building systems, equipment, utilities, office areas, warehouse spaces, racking, material-handling equipment, and other critical infrastructure.
- Coordinate repairs, inspections, scheduled maintenance, and emergency facility needs.
- Manage workplace supplies, equipment, inventory, and restocking programs.
- Identify operational improvements and proactively address workplace and facility needs.
Vendor Management- Manage all facilities, vendor relationships, service agreements, performance, scheduling, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors required for ongoing maintenance, repairs, projects, and future facility needs.
- Track operational budgets, purchase orders, vendor invoices, maintenance expenses, and capital projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining workplace quality and service standards.
Workplace Environment- Manage culinary programs, food service, snacks, beverages, and related logistics.
- Coordinate and provide meals for company meetings, conferences, events, and office-wide activities.
- Manage food and beverage inventory, ordering, organization, and budget.
- Support employee and guest experience by maintaining a welcoming, well-stocked, and professional workplace.
OfficeSafety & Compliance- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, OSHA and applicable local regulations, fire/life safety standards, environmental requirements, insurance requirements, and internal company policies.
- Coordinate facility inspections, audits, emergency preparedness, incident response, access-control reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and schedules for required inspections, maintenance, and safety programs.
- Obtain certification in CPR, obtain all required items for office safety (defibrillator, Epi-pens), ensure First Aid kit/station is maintained, ensure everyone onsite is trained on CPR, add training online for everyone
- Ensure we have fire wardens for all office locations on-site.
Logistics- Manage the shipment of laptops, company swag, equipment, and other materials to new employees.
- Track workplace equipment and inventory to ensure employees receive required resources on time.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving company equipment, supplies, and materials as needed.
Hotel Support - Help book all hotel reservations for all employees coming into all onsite locations.
- Manage and engage contracts with hotel providers for corporate rates.
Bolt Apartment Maintenance- Ensure bills are paid on time.
- Any other items related to maintenance of Bolt Apartments.
- Ensure employee guests have a clean environment, stocked refrigerators when staying at the company apartment.
Multi-Location Operations - Sunnyvale, Taiwan and other future Bolt locations- Support workplace and facility operations across the Sunnyvale and Taiwan offices.
- Help establish consistent operational standards, processes, vendor expectations, and workplace experiences across locations.
- Coordinate with local teams and vendors to address location-specific operational requirements while maintaining company-wide standards.
Preferred Qualifications:- 5-7 years of experience preferred
- Management experience is preferred
- Candidate with previous start up experience is preferred
Ideal candidates MUST be located in the Bay Area and have the ability to be on-site in our Sunnyvale office.

Compensation Range: $100,000-$130,000 per year (California). This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role; the final offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
