What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking a highly motivated Office Management Assistant to join our dynamic Security team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to managers and groups that work a combined schedule of remote and on-site work schedules.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Coordinate and maintain multiple calendars, answer phone calls, make travel arrangements, submit travel expense reports, arrange meetings
- Order office supplies, assist with property and training coordination, and serve as the information source on organizational policies and procedures
- Arrange tours and coordinate accommodations for visitors from within Sandia, program representatives, senior leadership, and other agencies
- Coordinate panel interviews, onboard new hires
- Submit badge requests for site visitors and contractors
- Partner with other administrative support staff in the Division, lab-wide (in California and New Mexico), and with external customers to cultivate a collaborative environment
- Complete organization-specific training, including but not limited to advanced classified specialist training
- Work on other ad hoc projects as defined by management
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 60% of the time. Applicants on this requisition may be interviewed by multiple organizations at Sandia National Laboratories.
Salary Range$66,100 - $106,000
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- High school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with common office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), Adobe applications, and/or web-based applications
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire- Experience handling sensitive information
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Experience providing administrative support to on-site and remote managers and staff
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Sandia policies and processes
- Active DOE security clearance, or equivalent
About Our TeamThe Cyber & Digital Assurance Group is composed of four cyber security departments that conduct research, develop tools and methods, and work closely with customers to assure verification of high-consequence digital systems and to support cybersecurity of enterprise and weapons systems. We serve as local domain experts for Sandia/CA nuclear weapon system and component organizations, and as Sandia resources for cybersecurity operations, as well as for digital formal verification, rigorous cyber experimentation, and cyber risk assessments. We engage throughout the design-to-retirement lifecycle, and actively manage research collaborations with academic institutions. We are dedicated to supporting cybersecurity of Sandia and government systems, and digital assurance of a flexible and responsive nuclear deterrent that remains robust to an evolving environment.
