Full Job Description
We are actively seeking an Office Engineer or a person willing to learn Office Engineering duties to join our growing Transportation practice. We have a project in Yonkers, NY which will be completed during the [redacted] Construction seasons which will focus on roadway rehabilitation, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps and ADA compliance. The selected candidate will be responsible for project documentation, ensure adherence to all applicable specifications and standards, and facilitate smooth project execution through technical and administrative support.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports, to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and standards requirements.
  • Support project meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and coordinate efforts among stakeholders, including architects, surveyors, contractors, and city agencies.
  • Monitor contractor work progress related to sidewalk and pedestrian ramp installations, ensuring alignment with approved construction schedules.
  • Review and track contractor's payment requests, project budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders, Force Account Work (FAW) records, and contract modifications.
  • Maintain project records, correspondence, and reports, ensuring proper documentation and organization.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance efforts related to transportation infrastructure projects.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management or 3 years of Construction Inspection Experience
  • A driver's license and reliable transportation is needed for travel to job sites.

Estimated Pay Range: $50-58/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
