Position Summary:

Join B. Braun Medical Inc. as a Product Engineer supporting a growing B2B MedTech and Pharma portfolio at our Allentown, PA location. In this hands-on, early-career role, you'll collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to develop medical device solutions-from concept through production and lifecycle support. You'll help translate customer needs into designs, contribute to prototyping and testing, and gain exposure to cross-functional teams and real-world engineering challenges.

Operating within a regulated medical device environment, you will gain hands-on experience applying frameworks such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (including Design Controls under Part 30), ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 to ensure compliant and reliable outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Materials, or Chemical), 2-3 years of experience, CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred), and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair or improve products, components or assemblies.
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
  • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
  • Designs and drafts blueprints with designer, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
  • Must be SME in field at higher levels of job.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training , assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Referring only complex problems and issues
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. Engineering) from four-year college or university and 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of 10 years of education and experience.
  • Domestic travel with the remote possibility of International travel.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $86,600
