  • Drive new business development by identifying emerging OEM requirements, strategic end-user needs, new applications, technology trends, product developments, and market opportunities at an early stage.

  • Identify and pursue new OEM and end-user projects, partnering closely with internal technical, marketing, sales, and business development teams to advance opportunities into sustainable business growth.

  • Proactively map OEM development programs, specifications, technology roadmaps, and decision-making processes to identify opportunities for Evonik products and technologies.

  • Influence and support OEM specification-setting and approval processes by applying a strong understanding of lubricant technology, formulation requirements, industry trends, and Evonik’s technical capabilities.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to OEMs and strategic end users, translating complex technical topics into meaningful application and business benefits.

  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Segment Managers and regional sales, marketing, technology, R&D, and technical service teams to translate OEM and market requirements into actionable business and technical priorities.

  • Partner with OEM Managers in other regions to ensure global alignment of OEM strategies, technical positions, customer engagement, and business development activities while sharing market intelligence and technical insights.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of OEM and end-user value chains, technical decision-making processes, specification development, approval processes, and the key business drivers and needs of industrial customers.

  • Strong technical understanding and a genuine interest in engineering, lubricant technology, and industrial applications.

  • Ability to combine technical expertise with commercial acumen and recognize both the technical and business implications of projects and market opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented approach, with the ability to establish new relationships, influence stakeholders, identify opportunities, and proactively turn those opportunities into tangible projects and business results.

  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout North America while maintaining regular connection and collaboration with colleagues based in Allentown, PA.
