Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

Commercial
  • Full product P&L responsibility for the region. (This is a NR PNL and an assimilation of country product PNL's within the region)
  • Monitor the countries product performance, actual versus budget and propose steps to address any issues associated with major variations in line with respective country product managers
  • Support the Regional CCO in customer related activities, such as sales calls, review meetings, ocean related presentations.
  • Provide pricing guideline for trade lanes that are owned, ensure complete and validated RFQ submissions for respective trade lanes (based on trade lane ownership)
  • Establish volume and P&L budgets in line with the globally agreed guidelines and cascade to Ocean Managers in country


Trade Lane Management (Pricing & Procurement) - FCL / LCL
  • Procurement of Ocean Freight for all Export related trades in line with the global carrier policy, as well as procurement of specific import carriers based on carrier ownership.
  • Manage and guide the Trade Lane Management team to achieve the best possible market rates and capacity allocations.
  • Establish sustainable and strong carrier relationship to enable continuous growth of the business.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the regional Trade Lane teams in Asia and Europe.
  • Provide regular marketing information to the commercial organization to enable proper guidelines to specific ocean related topics.


Operational
  • Manage and agree allocation & escalation with carriers (based on carrier ownership)
  • Monitor adherence to our carrier guidelines, allocation fulfilment
  • Support local ocean freight management to establish workable relationship with the respective offices of the carriers.
  • Ensure Carrier Payables & credit terms are complied with via Regional / Corp Finance
  • Assist in establishing SOP's to ensure best operational performances and customer satisfaction in line with Global Operational Excellence Process
  • Actively engage in conflict resolution and problem solving management.


FMC Compliance:
  • Establish Audit Process for ensure all FMC regulated shipments to/from USA are compliant in line with policy established by Internal Compliance Team & respective QI


  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex data reports.
  • Superior ability to build/foster relationships with the Ocean carriers at a Regional and Global level. Focus is to be on HL, HS, CMA and MSC
  • Decisive individual with 'big picture' perspective
  • Diverse management experiences and responsibilities to include working in multiple countries with multiple cultures. Proven effective experience in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people to achieve breakthrough improvements.
  • Strong Organizational skills (able to remain organized and effective while traveling).
  • Effective engagement and relationship skills to influence and execute activities that drive Ocean performance.
  • PC literate. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate both upwards to senior executives and downward to the lowest level of the shop floor


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:
  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred; or an equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program.
  • Minimum seven to ten years related ocean Industry experience required.
  • Minimum five years supervisory or management experience required.


Preferred:
  • Minimum fifteen years' industry experience preferred.


Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offer for this role is $137,400 - $196,300 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
