Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role as an Occupational Therapist (OT) serving a school located in Edmond, OK.

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details
  • Full-time school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour weekly schedule
  • Provide services to students across PreK through 12th grade
  • Deliver individualized therapy, complete comprehensive evaluations, provide consultation services, and manage an assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective student support plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, treatment planning, and ongoing documentation to support student success
  • Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, report writing, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • Fully on-site, in-person school-based position

  • Competitive compensation of $65-$78+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $2,437-$2,925+


Qualifications
  • BS, Master's, OTD, or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university
  • State License as Occupational Therapist
  • NBCOT License
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
