LOCATION: Toronto, ON POSITION TYPE: Regular Full-time (37.5 hours/week) POSTING CLOSING DATE: August 11, 2026 SALARY RANGE: $84,429 - $91,000 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Through the administration of standardized diagnostic tests or informal assessment measures completes assessments and identifies problem areas for clients who are referred for occupational therapy service;
- Establishes written treatment goals and plans to address client problem areas;
- Provides direct and indirect client care in accordance with the treatment plan;
- Evaluates the impact of occupational therapy intervention on identified problems;
- Maintains communication with all other team members regarding client care;
- Participates in meetings with other community-based service providers who are involved in client's care;
- Documents occupational therapy involvement in client record;
- Provide suggestions and materials to support staff and other service providers involved with the child's treatment plan;
- Review assessment findings with the client's family and service team, if applicable;
- Provide modeling of therapeutic strategies to support staff, educators, and others to ensure consistency in all teaching environments;
- Provide consultative services to family members, other caregivers and other community agencies involved with the child/client.
- When necessary and with parental consent, support referrals to outside professionals.
- Maintains clinical competence;
- Maintains communication with all other staff members;
- Supports Lumenus' efforts in quality assurance activities, as required;
- Participates in education, orientation, and public relations, as required.
- Maintains a safe work environment;
- Performs designated administrative duties;
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS: - Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Registration with College of Occupational Therapists.
- 2 years' experience in a related clinical setting.
- Experience working with children and youth with mental health, autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities is considered an asset.
- Knowledge and application of the Occupational Therapy framework, philosophy and theory, interpretation of standardized and non-standardized assessments, knowledge of development (typical/non-typical), of augmentative communication/writing assessments, and of appropriate OT intervention strategies and techniques.
- Well-developed communication skills including verbal, non-verbal, presentation and listening skills.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting children and youth with sensory processing difficulties.
- Strong consultation and conceptual analysis skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experience participating on an interdisciplinary team is considered an asset.
- Individual Authorizer, Ontario Assistive Devices Program is considered an asset.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
