Position Overview
We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated
Registered Occupational Therapists to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who is passionate about improving functional independence, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with caregivers and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
You'll have the opportunity to evaluate patients, create personalized therapy programs, educate staff, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals you serve every day.
What You'll Do
- Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and home-based therapy programs.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide clinical recommendations.
- Train and mentor staff through competency-based education.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Practice in accordance with Texas Occupational Therapy licensure standards and professional guidelines.
QualificationsRequired
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
- Current continuing education requirements maintained for licensure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Current certifications as required for practice.
Preferred
- Experience with sensory integration assessments and treatment planning.
- School-based occupational therapy experience.
- Outpatient occupational therapy experience.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is a plus.
Compliance Requirements
Candidates must be willing to complete all pre-employment and onboarding requirements, including:
- Required immunizations
- Drug screening
- Fingerprinting/background check
- Facility-required orientation and training
