Role Overview:We are looking for an Occupational Health Nurse for our Massachusetts sites. This position will manage workers compensation cases, leaves of absence, FMLA, provide onsite medical services, preventive health care, and employee counseling. The role will also be responsible for conducting, administering, and coordinating medical activities for employees and/or visitors as needed. This incumbent will support and comply with safety principles and procedures for the promotion, restoration, and maintenance of the health and safety of the employees.
Core Responsibilities: - Provide emergency care or evaluation to employees/visitors as needed and direct treatment, when necessary,
- Responsible for counseling employees regarding non-work related medical issues and refers them to the appropriate Provider if needed
- Responsible for administering for the case management for employee disability and leave claims in accordance with Federal and State Regulations.
- Manage all Federal, State, and company policies regarding rights to employee leaves and accommodations (FMLA, ADA, EAP, etc.)
- Case management of worker compensation injuries and illness including activities associated with restricted duty or lost time
- Improve the site's health and safety programs by providing guidance and consult from an occupational health perspective
- Participate in Safety Committee meetings
- Arrange and ensure appropriate pre-placement and routine physical exams
- Manage all medical surveillance testing as required
- Administer occupational health and safety programs such as; respiratory protection questionnaires, bloodborne pathogens and medical surveillance.
- Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and wellness initiatives to promote the overall health and safety of the workforce
- Arrange CPR, AED, First Aid and B.B.P. training for First Response teams
- Case management of worker compensation injuries and illness including activities associated with restricted duty or lost time
- Process and coordinate disability claims with insurance carrier, and report progress to management
- Maintain employee medical records, in accordance with best practice, and Federal and State regulations
- Create and implement employee wellness programs
- Responsible for maintaining the health center office
Qualifications: Required
- B.S. Degree in Nursing with a valid and active MA Registered Nurse license
- Three to five years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse preferred manufacturing experience
- Certification in occupational health nursing (COHN-S) is preferred.
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience with case management of all types of employee leaves of absence
- Knowledge of disability and worker's compensation laws and OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and EAP
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft programs, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
- Extremely high organizational skills.
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000 annually. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In exceptional cases, compensation may exceed the stated range.
All full-time employees are eligible to participate in our annual incentive bonus program. Bonus targets vary by career level and are based on individual and company performance
