The Position:

Lead the day-to-day Occupational Health functions for the Gulf Coast Bayport Complex (EBSM and ASA) located in Pasadena, Texas. The position also serves as back-up support to the OHN at the Texas City plant and provides ad-hoc support to employees based at the Marina View office. Activities will include medical surveillance programs to minimize injuries and illnesses and maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory health requirements. This position supports management regarding medical issues related to disability cases, return-to-work issues or work restrictions.

What you will do:

  • Champion and uphold INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioural Safety and daily Life-Saving Rules.
  • Ensure occupational health (OH) programs align with Gulf Coast site needs, regulatory requirements, and workforce demographics.
  • Assess workplace health risks through site tours and employee engagement; implement controls and improvements.
  • Maintain OH policies, procedures, and comprehensive medical/health records in compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Lead health services delivery, including onsite care, injury/illness management, testing (labs, drug screens), and case management.
  • Partner with HR and medical providers on pre-employment screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, return-to-work planning, and disability management.
  • Drive employee health and wellness initiatives, provide education and counseling, and support emergency response planning and drills.


What you will bring:
  • Minimum of a BS in Nursing
  • Minimum of 7 years occupational health experience preferred
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health preferred.
  • Licensed OHCP preferred.
  • Leadership capabilities in regard to part time/contract/casual OH Professionals and contracted Site Physician(s).
  • Working knowledge of industrial hygiene
  • Experience in design and implementation of wellness programs
  • CAOHC certified and training in Pulmonary Function Testing.
  • Audit Training Knowledge of Responsible Care Standards


Technical skills:
  • Ability to understand diagnosis and determine appropriateness for worker rehabilitation
  • Ability to interface with Physicians regarding optimizing worker care
  • Excellent working understanding of OSHA compliance requirements
  • Capable of performing required clinical skills of an Occupational Health Nurse in the workplace.
