Graduate of an approved nursing school, licensed as a registered nurse in New York State.
Current CPR certification required.
Five years of recent nursing experience.
Preferred experience in physician office nursing and skills in injection administration and phlebotomy.
Responsibilities
Provide appropriate care for patients in a primary care office setting.
Assess and interpret patient data according to age-specific needs.
Ensure accurate and complete patient charting and documentation.
Execute provider orders independently.
Triage and assess patient conditions within scope of practice.
Foster collaborative relationships with office staff and management.
Lead and coordinate clinical staffing and laboratory activities.

Schedule: Monday-Friday Days (Shifts 8-5 with some variations depending on length of lunch breaks)
Primary Location at Geneva OBGYN with floating to other Thompson Ambulatory OBGYN offices as needed (Victor, Farmington and Canandaigua)
Job Requirements:
Demonstrates skill in provision of care appropriate to the age of those patients served in a primary care office setting.
Demonstrates knowledge and principles of growth and development over a life span.
Exhibits the ability to access data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and provide the necessary care as described in each Department's Policies and Procedures.
Shows caring and concern for all patients.
Demonstrates accuracy and completeness in charting documentation.
Demonstrates phlebotomy and laboratory testing techniques at a level consistent with demands of the position.
Demonstrates the ability to work without direct supervision, while executing all provider orders.
Demonstrates triage capability within scope of practice to assess patient condition.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with remaining office staff and Practice Management.
Exhibits leadership skills through active support of practice and system goals and objectives as well as assuming responsibility for coordination of all clinical staffing needs and laboratory activity.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing, currently licensed as a registered nurse in New York State
Must maintain current CPR training and certification

Graduation from an approved school of nursing, required
Experience:
Five years of recent nursing experience required. In addition, the Registered Nurse is required to successfully complete the Thompson Health System orientation program during the introductory period.
Physician office nursing experience, injection administration and phlebotomy skills preferred.
