We are seeking an experienced
Senior IT Specialist to support the
New York State Office of Information Technology Services (NYS ITS) through the
Hourly-Based Information Technology Services (HBITS) program. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale technology initiatives that directly support the citizens of New York.

What You'll DoAs a Senior IT Specialist, you'll provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, supporting, and improving enterprise IT solutions.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions
- Supporting mission-critical applications and infrastructure
- Analyzing technical requirements and recommending solutions
- Troubleshooting complex production issues
- Developing automation and system improvements
- Supporting cloud and on-premises environments
- Creating technical documentation and operational procedures
- Collaborating with architects, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders
- Participating in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Ensuring systems meet security, performance, and compliance standards
- Mentoring junior technical staff when needed
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 7+ years of enterprise IT experience
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
Preferred Technical ExperienceExperience with several of the following technologies:

- Previous NYS ITS HBITS consulting experience
- Cloud certifications (AWS or Azure)
- Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications
- Agile or Scrum certification
- ITIL Foundation certification
