Nursing Unit ManagerLocation: Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center,
Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned long-term care unit
- Supervise, support, and provide direction to nurses and nursing assistants
- Ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with their care plans
- Monitor changes in resident conditions and communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in care plan meetings and resident assessments
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and regulations
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance management, and ongoing education
- Support infection-control, quality-assurance, and risk-management initiatives
- Prepare the unit and staff for government surveys and regulatory inspections
Qualifications:- Active RN or LPN license in the state
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
- Prior supervisory or unit management experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, leadership, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey requirements
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
