Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
RN License in the District of Columbia
BLS Certification
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint .
Basic H ealth I nformation M anagement (HIM) system knowledge required - Cerner preferred.
Experience:Four or more years of inpatient psychiatric experience with clinical and administrative responsibilities . At least two years of experience in a supervisory position. 3-8 years of overall nursing experience required
Ability to collaborate with staff and patients of all racial, ethnicities, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Experience with policies and procedures related to the scope of nursing.
The ability to manage staff and advise senior management.
- Coordinates resources from other disciplines and departments in the delivery of patient care.
- Ensures that diagnostic, consultative, and medical services for patients are provided promptly as ordered.
- Determines the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes .
- Provides professional consultation to colleagues and other hospital staff and seeks assistance from peers as needed.
- Actively participates in nursing and hospital committees . Verbalizes knowledge of professional issues and willingness to accomplish assigned tasks.

- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques .
- Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is provided.
- Interviews and selects nursing staff .
- Facilitates in-service training .
