Job Description:
** Shift: 8 hour days**
* Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes.
* Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs.
* Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
* Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities.
* Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization.
* Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs.
* Tracks educational offerings and shares information with unit leadership as needed.
* Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses in all stages of career development.
* Supports the bedside nurse with Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and participates in residency programs as assigned.
* Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, methods of education delivery, and ability to facilitate learners' achievement of the education objective.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software programs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to make realistic and practical recommendations for problem-solving.
• Demonstrates a professional, committed, and dynamic role model.
• Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
