Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager oversees a team of nurses as they provide home visitation services to clients and manage their records. Their duties include training, scheduling, and mentoring nursing staff, managing a budget for their team, and consulting on patient treatment plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide daily management of Nurse Family Partnership team and Community Health Nurse team including ensuring team meets metrics and funding requirements, providing regular performance reviews and appropriate recognition, and supporting ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in monthly Manager team meetings
  • Oversee and provide support to the Nurse Family Partnership team and the Community Health Nurse team.
  • Monthly staff meetings with the CHN team
  • Monthly staff meetings with the NFP team
  • Assign nurses to clients: maintain nursing caseloads
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and supervision
  • Ensure timely submission of all documentation from both nurse teams.
  • Assist nurses with additional support as needed
  • Ensure nursing clients meet program eligibility requirements
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Completes Home Visits, if needed
  • Maintains inventory of items purchased for clients and nurses
  • Completes purchase orders as needed
  • Documents, completes and submits all required data reports for each team
  • Attends management meetings, as required
  • Leads team in achieving deliverables set forth by agency and funders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years of nursing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

CLC or IBCLC certification

One year of management experience

Bilingual

Education and Experience:

BSN required

MSN preferred

Experience in Maternal Child Health, Pediatric Health, Mental Health, and/or case management is a plus.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods of driving throughout the county

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
