Nursing Manager (IMC) to oversee and coordinate the operations of our Intermediate Care Unit in Las Vegas. This is a
24-hour leadership role, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care aligned with hospital standards and best practices. The ideal candidate brings strong
acute care IMC experience, excellent clinical judgment, and proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities - Provide direct supervision and administrative oversight of the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC).
- Ensure staffing, scheduling, and departmental workflows support optimal patient care delivery.
- Facilitate patient throughput while maintaining appropriate levels of care and resource utilization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff while promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital administration to enhance care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Monitor quality indicators, patient safety outcomes, and regulatory compliance metrics.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure unit readiness for audits and inspections.
- Maintain adherence to infection control, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Support employee engagement and retention strategies through coaching, recognition, and conflict resolution.
Required Skills and Certifications - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Required
- Must have acute care IMC (Intermediate Care Unit) experience - Required
- Must have demonstrated leadership experience - Required
- Active RN license in Nevada (or eligible for reciprocity) - Required
- BLS and ACLS certifications - Required
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Specialty certification in critical care or leadership (e.g., CCRN, NE-BC)
- Experience implementing performance improvement plans and clinical initiatives
