Nortonville Health Care Center is a 45-bed skilled nursing community in Nortonville, Kansas, serving a primarily long-term-care population along with residents requiring skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading skilled nursing operations, partnering with clinical leadership, and successfully managing teams caring for residents with complex medical, behavioral health, dementia, and psychiatric needs.
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for a 208-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve clinical, regulatory, operational, and financial goals.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team focused on accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Create a positive workplace culture where employees are engaged, supported, and empowered to succeed.
  • Lead teams through change while maintaining stability, communication, and strong resident outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining continuous survey readiness.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on CMS Quality Measures, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Support census development and cultivate strong relationships with residents, families, hospitals, referral partners, and the community.
  • Develop effective strategies for caring for residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and other medically complex conditions.
Qualifications
  • Current Kansas Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license or eligibility for Missouri licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or senior leader within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and improving operational and clinical performance.
  • Experience working with residents with behavioral health conditions, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and complex medical needs is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the state survey process, CMS regulations, regulatory compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and Quality Measures.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, financial management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
