Athens Health and Rehab is seeking an experienced and motivated
Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to lead our skilled nursing facility in Athens, Pennsylvania. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic leader who is passionate about operational excellence, regulatory compliance, staff development, and delivering exceptional resident care.
Position OverviewThe Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for directing the overall operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest standards of resident care and quality outcomes. The Administrator will provide strategic leadership in financial management, census development, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all day-to-day facility operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies
- Maintain survey readiness and oversee successful state and federal inspections
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives
- Lead and support department heads to achieve operational and clinical goals
- Promote high-quality resident care and customer satisfaction
- Partner with physicians, consultants, and healthcare providers to ensure effective clinical programs
- Develop, implement, and monitor facility policies and procedures
- Oversee staffing strategies, employee retention, and leadership development
- Foster a positive, resident-centered culture throughout the facility
- Ensure the facility maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff
- Drive census growth and community engagement initiatives
Qualifications- Active Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to quality care and customer service
