Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Registered Nurse (RN) on our
30-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Our unit, featuring all private rooms, is meticulously designed to promote a quiet, calm atmosphere and a healing environment, supported by modern amenities like ceiling lifts, a pneumatic tube system, and state-of-the-art equipment.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care to a diverse cardiac population, including patients with arrhythmias, those undergoing pre/post cardiac intervention (including sheath removals), and pre/post-operative cardiac surgical patients. You'll make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and meticulously implement patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes, ensuring a smooth continuum of care from admission to discharge.

- Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
- Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
- Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
- Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
- Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as a resource to staff from other nursing departments.
Job RequirementsRequired:- One (1) year of experience as an RN within an acute care hospital.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
Preferred:- Arrhythmia certification.
