About the Position: The Nurse Team Lead is a first-level nursing supervisor responsible for coordinating daily nursing operations and supporting the delivery of care within the Reginald P. White Nursing Facility. This position provides leadership to assigned nursing staff, oversees staffing and scheduling for assigned units, monitors the quality and documentation of nursing care, and helps ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, and EMSH policies and procedures. The Nurse Team Lead serves as a working leader in the nursing home setting and must be able to support residents with medical and psychiatric needs while promoting staff accountability, quality care, and effective interdisciplinary communication.
What you'll need to be Successful: To be successful in this position, the employee must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, dependable leadership, and the ability to coordinate nursing services safely, effectively, and in an organized manner. The employee should be able to supervise staff, support resident care needs, review documentation, respond appropriately to unit issues, and communicate effectively with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team. Success in this role also requires accountability, professionalism, adaptability, and a strong commitment to resident safety, quality care, staff support, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2-4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
