Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Duties Description Provide professional psychiatric nursing services appropriate to youth diagnosed with mental illness.

Provide primary health care working in collaboration with licensed psychiatrists, assessing the physical and psychosocial status of youth by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests.

Ensure patient safety through the appropriate prescription and management of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Identify, measure, and monitor clinical and related behavioral outcomes to determine the effectiveness and appropriateness of the plan of care.

Ensure that proper protocols are followed when obtaining informed consent for psychotropic medications.

Participate in treatment team meetings.

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.

OR

Current Licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State.

Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate MUST have completed 3,500 hours of collaboration. Your resume MUST document how you have met the required 3,500 hours to order qualify for this position.

Additional Comments Salary Schedule for the position is as follows:

$140,252 Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 24 ($91,298), an increased hiring rate ($23,954) and a Geographic Differential ($25,000).
