Duties Description Are you interested in starting your career as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with New York State? Manhattan Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry to provide patient-centered and recovery-oriented behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.
As Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry, you will utilize a range of psychosocial interventions and therapy methods including:
• Providing psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, treatments, and medication management.
• Establishing individual goals and treatment objectives.
• Prescribing medications and treatments, monitoring impact, and modifying as needed.
• Maintaining medical records and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications New York State License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND certification by the New York State Education Department in the Psychiatry specialty area to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Additional Comments:
Posted Salary is the sum of the statutory job rate for PS&T Grade 24 ($115,252) and Geographic Differential ($40,000) and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000).
