Position Details: - Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Negotiable schedule
- 36 patient facing hours/week
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- Expected patient volume is ~40-50/week
- Mix of pediatrics and adults with highest % middle aged
- Diverse patient population with complex conditions
- Team includes 9 physicians and 2 APPs
- Procedures include IUD insertion/removal and dermatological procedures
Key Responsibilities: - Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
- Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
- Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
- Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
- Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
Qualifications: - FNP or PA certification required
- Critical care and/or emergency room experience preferred
