Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our
Structural Heart/Interventional Cardiology program in San Francisco.
This position works directly with
Interventional Cardiologists to support multidisciplinary care for patients with complex cardiovascular and structural heart disease. The Nurse Practitioner will play an integral role across the continuum of care, including outpatient clinic visits, inpatient evaluations, procedural planning, and post-intervention follow-up, while developing strong collaborative relationships with
Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) and
Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) teams.

Opportunity details:- Provide advanced clinical care to cardiac patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and hospital-based consults
- Work directly with Interventional Cardiologists to support day-to-day clinical care and patient management
- Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Support pre- and post-procedural care for interventional and structural heart procedures
- Coordinate closely with Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams to facilitate seamless multidisciplinary care
- Participate in multidisciplinary heart team and valve conferences, contributing to patient selection and care planning
- Support transitions of care, including hospital discharge planning and outpatient follow-up
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions, interventions, procedural expectations, and recovery pathways
- Conduct in-person and telehealth visits and manage patient communication through the Epic electronic health record
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives
- Participate in clinical research activities, registry participation, and program development initiatives as applicable
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment within a highly specialized Structural Heart/Interventional Cardiology program
Clinical Focus:The Nurse Practitioner will support patients with complex cardiovascular and structural heart disease, including:
- Structural heart disease
- Aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve disease
- Advanced heart failure requiring interventional therapies
- High-acuity cardiology patients managed by Structural Heart/Interventional Cardiology
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Additional certifications as required by the department
- Prior cardiology experience required
- Experience in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, heart failure, or inpatient cardiology strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for complex cardiac patients and working effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment
- New graduate Nurse Practitioners will not be considered
