Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Inpatient Cardiology

7 On / 7 Off Day Shift | Hospital-Based Cardiology | New Graduates Welcome

Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team in Inverness, Florida.

This is a hospital-based cardiology position offering a 7-on/7-off daytime schedule and the opportunity to work alongside experienced cardiologists in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Providers will participate in inpatient cardiovascular care, hospital rounding, consults, and ongoing patient management while gaining exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.

Whether you're an experienced APP or a new graduate looking to build a career in cardiology, this role offers mentorship, clinical support, and long-term growth within a well-established cardiovascular practice.
What You'll Do
  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in the hospital setting
  • Participate in daily hospital rounding and inpatient cardiovascular care
  • Perform cardiovascular consults and follow-up evaluations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and stress testing
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
