Title: Locum Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Nashua, NH

Summary: We are seeking experienced, Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a high-volume locum tenens Urgent Care assignment in the Nashua, NH region. This assignment offers a predictable 3-day workweek delivering walk-in acute care to patients of all ages, with an initial 3-to-4-month commitment and potential for extension or locum-to-permanent placement.

Day to Day:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries for walk-in patients of all ages, averaging 30-40 patients per 12-hour shift.
  • Perform clinical procedures including suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), splinting, wound care, and women's health exams.
  • Order and interpret onsite diagnostic tests, including lab work, X-rays, and EKGs.
  • Formulate clear treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage patient transfers or referrals when required.
  • Maintain accurate, timely charting using Experity EMR and AI-assisted clinical documentation tools.
  • Collaborate with and support onsite clinical and auxiliary care teams.

Shift:
  • Schedule: Three 12.5-hour shifts per week (~37.5 hours/week).
  • Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (includes opening and closing responsibilities).
  • Weekends & Call: Requires 4 weekend shifts per month; no call responsibilities.
  • Location Structure: Single clinic assignment per shift with no mid-shift travel. Regional floating between assigned local sites may be required with advance notice. Initial duration is 3-4 months.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials: Board Certification (NP or PA); active, unrestricted New Hampshire license; active DEA registration; current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience; comfortable working independently in high-volume settings.
  • Procedural Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in suturing, splinting, wound care, I&D, and reading basic X-rays/EKGs.
  • Technology: Experience with Experity EMR (or similar urgent care EMRs) and AI-assisted documentation tools preferred.
